Alocasia alba comes from tropical regions, where the climate is generally warm and humid. As a result, it is adapted to high temperatures and humidity. It does not like sudden temperature shifts and prefers a consistent temperature environment, so avoiding temperature fluctuations indoors is important. It typically cannot tolerate cold and needs higher temperatures to grow. If the surrounding temperature falls too low, the plant may stop growing or even die.

Alocasia alba needs the most fertilizer during its active growth period, which is mainly in spring, summer, and early fall. Fertilizing supplies essential nutrients that the soil may lack, encouraging healthy root and stem development and the attractive foliage that is a key trait of this plant.
