Dune fan-flower comes from open habitats, such as sunny meadows and forest margins, that provide abundant light. It performs best in Full Sun but can also tolerate Partial Sun, adapting well to a range of sunlight conditions.

Dune fan-flower shows good temperature adaptability, tolerating higher heat and larger temperature fluctuations. During hot weather, attention should be paid to watering and providing appropriate shade to avoid sunburn. In contrast, dune fan-flower is relatively sensitive to low temperatures. Although it can endure some cold, very low temperatures may cause frost damage.
