Rhodoleia championii, the Hong Kong rose, is a species of plant in the family Hamamelidaceae. It is a small evergreen tree with dangling scarlet flowers that are pollinated primarily by birds, and is found in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Vietnam.
Rhodoleia is resistant to disease and is usually not susceptible to illnesses. Regarding care, this plant is fairly low-maintenance. When grown outdoors it needs little watering, and larger plants typically do not require pruning. Smaller plants, however, should be pruned after they finish blooming. Rhodoleiat is suitable for anyone with an outdoor area, such as a garden or deck, and does not demand extensive care experience.
How to keep Rhodoleia Championii.
Light
Rhodoleia flourishes under soft sunlight, that isn't too intense. It adjusts well to settings where the sunlight is not overly strenuous. Given its native habitat is forested areas, it thrives even in shady conditions. Too much exposure can put the plant under strain, whereas too little can hinder its growth.
Temperature
Rhodoleia thrives in temperate environments where the usual temperature varies from 59 to 89.6 °F (15 to 32 ℃). It favors warm conditions, making it perfect for outdoor cultivation in the hotter months and indoor cultivation during the severe winter months.
Fertilizer
Timing is essential when fertilizing Rhodoleia. Apply fertilizer in early spring and continue monthly until early summer. The fertilizer promotes attractive blooms and supplies energy during both dormant and active growth periods.
