A note from PlantMom

Hybrid buttercup is fairly disease-resistant and typically not vulnerable to illnesses. Still, it can be affected by pests and diseases found in its environment. When infections occur, they are generally mild. Regarding care, this plant needs a moderate level of attention. Regular pruning is required to preserve its appearance and healthy growth. Applying fertilizer can also encourage flowering. Hybrid buttercup is appropriate for anyone with outdoor space, like a garden or patio, and does not demand extensive care experience. It may need extra attention if cultivated indoors.

CARE GUIDE

How to keep Ranunculus Thora.

Light

Hybrid buttercup is a sun-loving, perennial herbaceous plant native to open habitats and commonly found in meadows and grasslands. It prefers full sun but can also tolerate partial sun.

Water

During the seedling stage, water the Thora Buttercup only when the soil is dry to prevent root rot. During the peak growing season, give it 9-10 mm of water each week, but reduce this amount by half in the winter. After the buds have developed, keep the soil slightly moist. Minimize watering during summer and refrain from watering altogether in winter.

Temperature

The hybrid buttercup can tolerate a wide range of temperatures, but its distribution can still be restricted by different combinations of moisture and heat conditions. It performs best in warm summer climates with sufficient rainfall or regular watering. Extended periods of cloudy, rainy weather or prolonged high temperatures increase the risk of the hybrid buttercup dying. In winter, adequate protection from the cold can raise the plant's survival rate.

Fertilizer

The best time to fertilize a Hybrid buttercup is in early spring, when it is coming out of dormancy and starting active growth. Fertilization supplies essential nutrients for healthy development. Although Hybrid buttercup has relatively low fertilizer requirements, an annual application can improve its survival and encourage better, longer-lasting blooms.

Pruning

Thora buttercup is a low-growing perennial with glossy yellow flowers and kidney-shaped leaves. To control its growth, enhance its blooms, and promote its health, prune it from early to late spring. This practice improves air circulation, boosts vitality, and increases disease resistance, all of which contribute to a vibrant growing season.
