CARE GUIDE

How to keep Hesperocyparis Glabra.

Light

The smooth-barked arizona cypress is native to bright, open areas like sunny meadows and the edges of forests, where it receives plenty of sunlight. While it flourishes under Full Sun, it can also endure Partial Sun, demonstrating a good adaptation to a range of sunlight situations.

Temperature

The smooth-barked Arizona cypress shows exceptional versatility in adapting to a variety of weather conditions, ranging from hot summers to cold winters. Nevertheless, there is an ideal temperature band for its development. If temperatures rise too high, the tree is susceptible to the stress caused by heat and humidity, potentially leading to its end. In areas where temperatures approach the lower threshold of its cold tolerance, it's crucial to apply insulation strategies to safeguard the plant.

Fertilizer

The Smooth-barked arizona cypress has distinct nutritional needs and doesn't necessitate excessive fertilizing. The best time to nourish it for maximum growth is in the spring. The addition of nutrients enhances its wellbeing, increases its immunity to pests and diseases, and contributes to its prolonged life expectancy.
