A note from PlantMom

Cilician cyclamen is fairly resistant to disease and usually not highly susceptible. However, it can be affected by pests and diseases present in its environment. These issues are typically mild. For care, the plant requires moderate maintenance. It should be pruned regularly to preserve a good appearance and healthy growth. Fertilizing can also help encourage flowering. Cilician cyclamen is well suited to anyone with outdoor space, such as a garden or patio, and does not demand extensive care experience. It may need extra attention if grown indoors.

CARE GUIDE

How to keep Cyclamen Cilicium.

Light

Cilician cyclamen is indigenous to habitats like forest understories and rocky areas, where it receives natural shade. It prefers partial sun but can adjust to full sun or full shade, illustrating its versatile, hardy nature.

Temperature

Cilician cyclamen can adjust to a broad range of temperature conditions, but its distribution can still be limited by various combinations of moisture and heat. It does best in warm summers with adequate rainfall or watering. Extended periods of cloudy, rainy weather, as well as prolonged high temperatures, raise the likelihood of the Cilician cyclamen dying. In winter, protecting it from cold can increase the plant's survival rate.

Fertilizer

For Cilician cyclamen, the primary time to fertilize is in early spring when the flowers are forming. The proper fertilizer promotes better blooms and helps the plant produce attractive flowers. Fertilizing in early spring ensures excellent flowering throughout the season and supplies energy for its dormant growth phases.
