A note from PlantMom

Tapirira bethanniana shows strong resistance to disease and is generally not susceptible to illnesses. Regarding care, this species is fairly low-maintenance. Outdoors it needs only light watering, and larger specimens typically do not require pruning. Smaller specimens, however, should be trimmed after flowering. Tapirira bethanniana is appropriate for anyone with an outdoor area, such as a garden or deck, and does not demand extensive plant-care experience.
