CARE GUIDE

How to keep Solidago Odora.

Light

Anisescented goldenrod is a sun-loving, herbaceous perennial that originates in open habitats and often thrives in meadows and grasslands. It prefers full sun but can also tolerate partial sun conditions.

Temperature

Anisescented goldenrod can tolerate a wide range of temperatures, but its distribution may still be constrained by different combinations of moisture and heat. It does best in warm summers with sufficient rainfall or watering. Extended periods of cloudy, rainy weather or prolonged high temperatures can raise the likelihood of the plant dying. In winter, shielding it from cold can improve its survival rate.

Fertilizer

The ideal time to fertilize an Anisescented goldenrod is in early spring, as it comes out of dormancy and begins active growth. Fertilization supplies key nutrients needed for healthy development. Although Anisescented goldenrod has relatively low fertilizer requirements, applying fertilizer annually can improve its survival and encourage better, longer-lasting flowers.

Pruning

Anise-scented goldenrod is known for its fragrant leaves and vibrant yellow flowers. To keep the plant healthy, it is important to prune it regularly from early to late spring. Pruning helps by removing dead stems and reducing overcrowding. This not only improves the plant's appearance and extends its blooming period but also prevents disease, resulting in a strong and attractive plant.

Pot & Repot

Anise-scented goldenrod needs pots with excellent drainage to thrive and avoid root rot, promoting healthy growth and overall vitality.
