A note from PlantMom

Scorzonera villosa subsp. villosa demonstrates strong resistance to disease and is generally not susceptible to illnesses. Regarding maintenance, this species is fairly easy to care for. Outdoors it needs only infrequent watering, and larger specimens typically do not require pruning; smaller ones, however, should be trimmed after flowering. Scorzonera villosa subsp. villosat is appropriate for anyone with an outdoor area, like a garden or deck, and does not demand extensive gardening experience.
