ON THIS PLANT

Rubus nigricans is a bramble found in parts of Europe. The junior synonyms R. pedemontanus and R. bellardii have been more widely used in the published literature.

A note from PlantMom

Rubus pedemontanus is resistant to disease and typically does not suffer from common plant illnesses. Carewise, this species is fairly low-maintenance. When grown outdoors it needs only minimal watering, and larger plants usually do not require pruning. Smaller specimens, however, should be pruned after they finish blooming. Rubus pedemontanus is suitable for anyone with an outdoor area, such as a garden or deck, and does not demand extensive care experience.
