ON THIS PLANT
Rosa × noisettiana, commonly known as the Noisette rose, is a hybrid rose cultivar that originated in Charleston, South Carolina, in the early 19th century. This variety is a cross between Rosa moschata and Rosa chinensis and was first bred by John Champneys. The Noisette rose is celebrated for its fragrant blooms, which come in shades of pink, white, and yellow.
With a climbing habit, the Noisette rose can grow up to 20 feet tall if left unpruned. The plant thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil with regular watering during the growing season. Due to its climbing nature and beautiful, long-lasting blooms that appear from late spring through fall, it is often used as an ornamental plant for trellises or walls.
