CARE GUIDE

How to keep Rhynchostylis Coelestis.

Water

Your Foxtail Orchid requires regular watering as it thrives in very moist, humid conditions. You have to mist it daily in the morning with lukewarm water to keep it healthy. Always mind the amount of water for your orchids as overly wet soil can cause root rot.

Temperature

As your Rhynchistylis Orchids grow only in tropical countries, it means it requires warm temperatures – typically above 50 F. Take note that your plant doesn’t tolerate frost conditions.

Fertilizer

Feed your Rhynchostylis Orchid every day after watering, as fertilizer applied to dry potting can burn the plant. Use a balanced fertilizer with a 20-20-20 ratio at half strength diluted with water and make sure to don’t overfeed.

Pruning

Keep in mind that Foxtail Orchids don’t like to be disturbed so pruning isn’t really necessary.

Toxicity

Foxtail Orchids have medicinal purposes and are considered non-toxic. Your plant may even be used to treat wounds, cuts, and bruises.
