It is a straggling evergreen shrub that grows to 1–3 m (3.3–9.8 ft) in height, with leathery leaves that are broadly elliptic, oblong-elliptic to oblong-lanceolate or ovate, 3–6 by 1.5–2.5 cm in size. CARE GUIDE

How to keep Rhododendron Cinnabarinum.

Water

Rhododendron cinnabarinum thrives in moist, well-drained soil and partial shade, similar to its natural high-altitude forest habitat. This evergreen plant prefers consistent moisture and should be watered weekly. To achieve optimal blooms, it requires careful watering throughout its growth cycle.

Pruning

Rhododendron cinnabarinum is known for its vibrant flowers and evergreen leaves. Pruning in early spring is crucial for removing dead branches, encouraging new growth, and improving air circulation. This practice boosts flower production and enhances the overall health of the plant. To prevent disease and keep the plant looking its best, it's important to conduct regular inspections and use clean tools.
