ON THIS PLANT
Although not supported by scientific data, this plant is known to serve as an important ingredient in making medicine that helps with heart problems, therefore making it a non-toxic plant. However when these plants are grown on soils that are very rich in nitrogen, they tend to store concentrated nitrates in their leaves which can be unsafe if consumed in large quantities by livestock and humans with kidney problems. Ensure to contact your veterinarian in cases of ingestion.
