A note from PlantMom

Aztec Sweet Herb is fairly disease-resistant and usually not prone to illness. However, it can be affected by pests and diseases present in its environment. These problems tend to be minor. For care, the plant requires moderate maintenance. It should be pruned regularly to keep a neat appearance and support healthy growth. Fertilizing can also help encourage flowering. Aztec Sweet Herb is appropriate for anyone with outdoor space, such as a garden or patio, and does not demand extensive care experience. It may need more attention when kept indoors.

CARE GUIDE

How to keep Phyla Scaberrima.

Light

Aztec Sweet Herb is a sun-loving perennial herbaceous plant native to open habitats, commonly found growing in meadows and grasslands. It prefers full sun but can tolerate partial sun conditions.

Temperature

Aztec Sweet Herb comes from tropical areas, where the climate is generally warm and humid. Therefore it is well suited to high temperatures and moisture. It does not tolerate sudden temperature changes and favors a stable temperature setting, so avoiding temperature fluctuations indoors is important. It usually cannot endure cold and needs warmer conditions to grow. If the surrounding temperature falls too low, the plant may stop growing or even die.

Fertilizer

Adequate fertilization is essential for Aztec Sweet Herb's health and appearance. Fertilize Aztec Sweet Herb in summer, repeating the application monthly throughout the season. Nutrients supply the energy needed for growth and to sustain the plant's parts. Fertilization improves Aztec Sweet Herb's flower display, ensuring the best blooms.
