ON THIS PLANT

Parapholis strigosa, commonly known as slender barb grass, sea hard grass, and hard grass, is a species of grass. It is native to Europe and Libya and is an introduced species to parts of the Americas and Oceania.

A note from PlantMom

Hard-grass is resistant to disease and is generally not susceptible to illnesses. Regarding care, the plant is fairly low-maintenance. When grown outdoors it needs little watering, and larger specimens usually do not require pruning. Smaller plants, however, should be trimmed after they finish blooming. Hard-grass is appropriate for anyone with an outdoor area, such as a garden or deck, and does not demand much gardening experience.
