ON THIS PLANT

Euphrosyne acerosa, commonly known as copperweed, is a species of plant in the family Asteraceae. It is native to the south-western United States (California (Inyo Co), Nevada (Nye Co), Utah, western Colorado, Arizona and north-western New Mexico).

A note from PlantMom

Copperwort is fairly resistant to disease and typically does not suffer from illnesses. Still, it can be affected by pests and diseases that exist nearby. Such infections tend to be mild. Care-wise, this plant needs a moderate amount of attention. It should be pruned on a regular basis to preserve a neat appearance and encourage healthy growth. Applying fertilizer can also aid in boosting its flowering. Copperwort is a good choice for anyone who has outdoor space, like a garden or patio, and it does not demand extensive gardening experience. When kept indoors, however, it may need additional care.

Fertilizer

Typically, a single fertilization in spring is adequate for Copperwort, however, more frequent feedings can boost growth. Apply fertilizer monthly to every six weeks. Fertilizing improves the look and performance of the leaves, fostering uniform color and a robust texture. It also encourages root development and nutrient uptake, contributing to the prolonged well-being of the plant.
