ON THIS PLANT

Minuartia recurva, the recurved sandwort or sickle-leaved sandwort, is a rare tufted, calcifugous chamaephyte perennial flowering plant in the family Caryophyllaceae. It blooms from late spring to the end of summer.

A note from PlantMom

Recurved sandwort is resistant to disease and usually not susceptible to illnesses. As for care, the plant is fairly low-maintenance. Planted outdoors, it needs only light watering, and larger plants typically do not require pruning. Smaller plants, however, should be trimmed after they finish blooming. Recurved sandwortt is appropriate for anyone who has an outdoor area, such as a garden or a deck, and it does not demand extensive care experience.
