A note from PlantMom

Angel-wing jasmine has strong resistance to disease and is generally not prone to illness. Regarding care, this plant is fairly low-maintenance. When grown outdoors it requires minimal watering, and larger plants usually do not need pruning. Smaller plants, however, should be pruned after they have finished blooming. Angel-wing jasminet is appropriate for anyone with an outdoor area, such as a garden or deck, and does not require much care experience.

CARE GUIDE

How to keep Jasminum Laurifolium.

Light

angel-wing jasmine is native to habitats like forest understories or rocky areas, where it receives natural shade. It prefers partial sun but can tolerate full sun or full shade, showing its versatility and hardiness.

Temperature

angel-wing jasmine comes from tropical areas, where the weather is usually warm and humid. Consequently, it is adapted to high temperatures and moisture. It does not tolerate sudden temperature shifts and prefers a consistent temperature, so avoiding indoor temperature fluctuations is important. It generally cannot handle cold and needs warmer conditions to grow. If the ambient temperature falls too low, the plant may stop growing or even die.

Fertilizer

The best time to fertilize an angel-wing jasmine is in early spring, when it comes out of dormancy. This encourages overall growth and flower development. Feeding the plant improves its foliage, stems, and branches, and encourages flowers that are large, vivid, and long-lasting. It also helps move nutrients from the roots to the flowers and enhances the plant’s health and resistance to disease.
