CARE GUIDE

How to keep Ehretia Dicksonii.

Light

Ehretia dicksonii is native to habitats such as forest understories and rocky areas, where it occurs in natural shade. It prefers partial sun but can tolerate full sun or full shade, showing its versatile and hardy nature.

Temperature

Ehretia dicksonii adapts well to temperature, tolerating higher heat and wider temperature swings. In hot weather, it is important to ensure adequate watering and provide proper shade to avoid sunburn. However, Ehretia dicksonii has limited tolerance for low temperatures. Although it can endure some cold, very low temperatures can cause frost damage.

Fertilizer

The timing of fertilizing Ehretia dicksonii is important. Apply fertilizer in early spring and continue monthly until early summer. Fertilizer encourages attractive blooms and supplies energy during both dormant and active growth periods.

Pruning

Ehretia dicksonii is a deciduous shrub or small tree appreciated for its attractive foliage and white flowers. To keep the plant healthy and visually appealing, prune it in early spring. This is the best time to remove dead branches, thin out crowded areas, and shape the plant for aesthetic purposes. Be sure to use sharp, clean tools to promote plant health and prevent disease.
