It is a twining evergreen climber, growing to 3 metres (9.8 ft) or more, with panicles of brilliant scarlet flowers in summer. A note from PlantMom

Flaming glorybower has strong disease resistance and is generally not prone to diseases. With regard to care, this plant is fairly low-maintenance. When grown outdoors it needs only minimal watering, and larger plants typically do not require pruning. Smaller plants, however, should be pruned after they have finished blooming. Flaming glorybowert is suitable for anyone who has an outdoor space, such as a garden or deck, and it does not require much experience to care for.

CARE GUIDE

How to keep Clerodendrum Splendens.

Light

Flaming glorybower is native to open habitats, such as sunny meadows and forest edges, which provide abundant light. It thrives in Full Sun but can also tolerate Partial Sun, adapting well to a range of sunlight conditions.

Temperature

Flaming glorybower comes from tropical areas where the climate is generally warm and humid. Consequently, it is well adapted to high temperatures and moisture. It does not tolerate sudden temperature swings and favors a stable thermal environment, so indoor temperature fluctuations should be avoided. It typically cannot withstand cold and needs warmer conditions to grow; if the temperature falls too low, the plant may stop growing or even die.

Fertilizer

The best time to fertilize a Flaming glorybower is in early spring, when it is coming out of dormancy. Doing so supports overall growth and the development of flowers. Fertilizing improves the foliage, stems, and branches, and encourages flowers that are large, vibrant, and long-lasting. It also helps move nutrients from the roots up to the blooms and enhances the plant’s health and resistance to disease.
