CARE GUIDE

How to keep Cinnamomum Parthenoxylon.

Water

Selasian wood flourishes in moist, tropical environments where the soil stays consistently damp. It typically experiences around 150 days of rainfall each year. To care for it, water only when the top 5 cm (2 inches) of soil becomes dry, using either filtered or rainwater. If growing indoors, mist the leaves weekly to maintain the necessary humidity.

Pruning

Selasian wood can naturally grow over 8 feet (2.4 meters) indoors, but it can be pruned down to 3 feet (0.9 meters) at any time. When grown outdoors, it produces white flowers in the summer and small black berries that are inedible for humans. Although deadheading is optional for aesthetic purposes, pruning is not required to promote berry production.
