Chardinia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae.There is only one known species, Chardinia orientalis, native to the Middle East, Greece, and Central Asia.

Chardinia orientalis is well resistant to disease and, overall, not likely to suffer from illnesses. Regarding care, this plant is fairly low-maintenance. When grown outdoors it needs only minimal watering, and larger plants usually do not require pruning. Smaller plants, however, should be pruned after they finish blooming. Chardinia orientalist is appropriate for anyone with an outdoor area, such as a garden or a deck, and does not demand much prior care experience.
