Carex brevicollis is a species of sedge (genus Carex), found in Spain, France, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, the former Yugoslavia, Anatolia, the north Caucasus, and the Transcaucasus. It prefers to grow in calcareous mountain grasslands.

Carex brevicollis is resistant to disease and generally not susceptible to illnesses. In terms of upkeep, this plant is fairly low-maintenance. When grown outside, it needs only light watering, and larger plants typically do not require pruning. Smaller plants, however, should be pruned after they finish blooming. Carex brevicollist is suitable for anyone with an outdoor area, like a garden or a deck, and does not need extensive gardening experience.
