ON THIS PLANT

Elythranthera brunonis, commonly known as the purple enamel orchid, is a plant in the orchid family Orchidaceae and is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia. It is a ground orchid with a single flattened, hairy leaf and up to three glossy purple flowers.

CARE GUIDE

How to keep Caladenia Brunonis.

Water

The purple enamel orchid flourishes with sufficient moisture but can withstand light drought conditions. During the summer, water it weekly. In the fall and winter, reduce watering to once every 10 days. To maintain humidity, mist the plant regularly. Use water with a neutral pH, and allow it to sit before use to release any dissolved substances.

Pruning

The purple enamel orchid is known for its delicate purple flowers and unique enamel-like texture. To encourage growth and improve air circulation, prune the plant after it blooms, from early to late spring, removing any dead parts. To maintain its natural shape and promote healthy blooming, avoid over-pruning. Proper pruning is essential for the care of this orchid.
