Ammodaucus leucotrichus is a species of flowering plant in the family Apiaceae and the sole member of the genus Ammodaucus. It is endemic to northern Africa, including the Canary Islands.In Morocco, the plant is known as kammūn ṣūfī ("wooly cumin"), and is used medicinally in teas and compresses to treat a variety of ailments, including snake bites and respiratory ailments.
Ammodaucus leucotrichus shows good resistance to diseases and is generally not susceptible to them. In terms of care, this plant is fairly low-maintenance. When grown outdoors it needs only minimal watering, and larger plants typically do not require pruning. Smaller plants, however, should be trimmed after they finish blooming. Ammodaucus leucotrichust is suitable for anyone with outdoor areas such as a garden or deck and does not demand much gardening experience.
