CARE GUIDE
How to keep Agave Polyacantha.
Water
Agave polyacantha flourishes in dry environments. Water it only when the soil is noticeably dry, particularly during the summer when it is actively growing. In the fall, reduce the amount of water, and cease watering altogether in the winter if temperatures fall to 10°C (50°F) or below. You can resume watering in the spring when temperatures rise above 20°C (68°F).
Pruning
Agave polyacantha has thick, rosette-forming leaves with spiny tips, and it requires minimal pruning. To maintain its health and appearance, remove any dead or damaged leaves in early spring using sanitized tools. Be sure to handle the plant carefully to avoid injury. By regularly observing and timely pruning the plant, you can enhance its vigor and appearance.
