A note from PlantMom

Bean-trefoil is fairly disease-resistant and is generally not susceptible to illnesses. This plant is relatively low maintenance. Planted outdoors it needs only minimal watering, and larger specimens usually do not require pruning; smaller plants, however, should be pruned after they finish blooming. Bean-trefoil is appropriate for anyone with an outdoor area, such as a garden or deck, and does not require a lot of care experience.

CARE GUIDE

How to keep Adenocarpus Viscosus.

Light

Bean-trefoil comes from open habitats, such as sunny meadows and forest edges, which provide abundant light. It thrives in Full Sun but can also tolerate Partial Sun, adapting well to various sunlight conditions.

Water

Adenocarpus viscosus is a plant that comes from dry regions, making it naturally drought-tolerant. It can store water to survive periods without rain. To care for it, watering once a week is sufficient. It grows best outdoors in soil that drains well and makes good use of rainwater during the growing season.

Fertilizer

To encourage healthy growth, apply fertilizer to your Bean-trefoil in early spring. Regular fertilization improves overall health, producing vigorous growth, greater tolerance to adverse conditions, and better resistance to diseases and pests. Stick to a consistent fertilization schedule for your Bean-trefoil to keep foliage vibrant, deeply colored, and lush in appearance.

Pruning

To ensure the health and vigor of Adenocarpus viscosus, it's important to prune it properly, ideally from early to late winter. Begin by removing any dead branches and thinning out dense areas to improve air circulation and light penetration. Make sure to use clean, sharp tools when making cuts just above the nodes. This practice promotes new growth and enhances the overall appearance and vitality of the plant.
