CARE GUIDE

How to keep Abies Chensiensis.

Water

During the summer, water the Shensi fir twice a week, ensuring the top layer of soil dries out slightly between waterings to prevent waterlogging. In the spring and fall, watering once a week is adequate. Do not water during rainy periods, and avoid watering altogether in the winter.

Pruning

The Shensi fir is a coniferous tree known for its pyramidal shape and soft needles. To maintain its health and enhance airflow, it is best to prune in early spring by removing any dead or overcrowded branches. Avoid heavy pruning, as the tree recovers slowly. Light pruning, however, aids in maintaining its shape, improves its vigor, and reduces the risk of disease.
